Cost Containment Program Overview

  • Provide weekly report that details finding of new claims filed and status of claimants' doctor visits.
  • Annual visits to school sites to educate administrators of procedure of filing a claim as well as inform them of any new legislation that will affect Client.
  • Act as facilitator to assist in obtaining work status of claimants, wage statements and personnel files.
  • Assist in the implementation of and communication with TPA and medical service providers.
  • Analyze claims data to identify trends and problem areas.
  • Work with safety personnel to develop effective claims reduction strategies.
  • Meet regularly with upper management to report on progress in attaining claims reduction goals.
  • Present seminars, workshops, and other educational programs to Client employees and representatives.
  • Work with Claims Administrators to see that Client's objectives are being met.
  • Participate in meetings with Client and Claims Administrator.
  • Check the accuracy of all reports and documents pertaining to the Workers Compensation program.
  • Review utilization and effectiveness of managed care program.
  • Assist in negotiations with excess liability insurance carriers, and seek alternate proposals if requested by Client.
  • Maintain a hands-on policy to keep lines of communication open among Client, TPA and medical service provider.
  • Advise Client of anticipated pricing changes or trends.
  • Assist Client in evaluating alternate Claims Administrators or service vendors, if requested.
  • Assist Client in finding, evaluating, and training personnel for the risk management functions, if requested.
